General Description: Griffin Engineering worked with a local fabricator to design, build, commission, and qualify an Ultra-purification Skid for a local Biotech Manufacturer. The skid had to not only function but also conform to owner requirements for personnel safety (stable - not tip over, and ease of mobility for operators).
Services Provided:
- Draft User Requirements Specification
- Develop System P&ID
- Specify the Pump, Valves, Instruments, and Filters
- Develop the Fabrication Drawings
- Design the Skid Structure
- Perform Center of Gravity and Roll Resistance Calculations
- Resolve Issues During Fabrication
- Test the Skid at the Fabricator's Shop
- Commission and Qualify the Skid at the Client Site
The client was so happy with the first skid that they ordered a second skid.
